Field Leader Certification by the Outdoor Council of Canada

Course Complete!!

I’ve just completed Field Leader Training with the Outdoor Council of Canada.

This is a nationally recognized course that qualifies me to lead a group on day hikes in 3 seasons in Class 1 (easy) terrain.

Over the weekend course I learned about event planning, how to avoid hazards in the woods, managing a group, and we saw the lessons in action by going on a nice little hike near Shelburne.

Why did I take this course?

I initially dreamt up ReWilding Wanders with a full curriculum of self-discovery and nature activities, and seasonal outdoor exploration, but my skill needed to catch up to my ambition. So now that I have the support and confidence that comes with this new training, I’m re-imagining ReWilding Wanders.

I’m starting with evening and day-long Wanders -- just filling in the calendar now. If you’d love to be a wild, forest wanderer, but you'd like to try it in a safe, guided way, and experience soul-nourishing activities in nature, get on my list with the link below so you'll catch all the dates & times.

Event dates for upcoming ReWilding Wanders will be announced soon.
